Md Muhtashim Jahin

Hi, I’m Jahin, a graduate of BCIT’s Industrial Network Cybersecurity (INCS) program. I specialize in both offensive and defensive cybersecurity, with a strong foundation in Penetration Testing, Network Security, and SOC Operations, as well as IT Infrastructure Management. My goal is to protect critical infrastructure and sensitive data through a combination of proactive defense and hands-on security expertise.
I have hands-on experience in Penetration Testing using tools like Metasploit, Nmap, Burp Suite, Wireshark, Nikto, Hydra, Nessus, and Social-Engineer Toolkit (SET) for vulnerability exploitation and social engineering attacks. I am proficient in incident response with tools like Splunk and FortiSIEM, enabling effective threat detection and remediation.
I also have a solid foundation in Networking, having studied CCNA 1 & 2 and Cisco Network Security. My network security training includes key concepts such as Firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, NAT, and securing networks against DDoS, ARP spoofing, and MITM attacks. I am proficient in configuring and managing FortiGate firewalls, securing network traffic with VPNs, and implementing IDS/IPS systems to protect against intrusions.
